53 A selfbuilder's note

Saturday was the deadline of returning panel molds. To deliver the panels back mold rental, more than 2tons type of truck with crane needed. Went to rental shop to borrow Unic, truck with crane as reserved early that morning.

Well, how do I load the panels? Considering the longest available size of cargo space, I've put the longest panels first. And the rest fell in proper places without difficulties. The key of loading is to pile squarely up before craning. And it's the safest way to load panels. So I carefully matched each corner for not sliding side way. Very time consuming job. First in the afternoon, every single piece was properly loaded and delivered to the mold rental.

At the mold rental, after unloaded, I had a little chat with the co-owner of the mold rental. He was anxious about my foundation building. Since I was pretty rare case of renting his panels for self-building. I've shown him some pictures of finished foundation. He was so happy to see the stand up wall completed properly enough. Probably he understood he did right thing. He is such a nice person. I thanked him and left for the second destination.

To make most use of the rental truck , shopping heavy weights suit best. I bought 50 sheets of steel mesh, 6mm x 150mm gauge. 250pcs of anchor rod. And several types of spacers for foundation gaskets. Will show you later.

Saturday evening, received parcel box containing filling cap for separator plastic end. Conical shape of this plastic end drilled out by special electric screw driver attachment. Replacing the end piece with same but a little short type of conical end piece made of mortar. Adhesive cement inside end hold the piece as well as covering poked steel rod end. Total 250 pcs of this repetition. Boring.

After filling end hole, moved onto repairing unfilled space seen outside of stand up wall. This caused by inefficient vibration. Most are minor damage, except one. I've filled the space with pre-mixed mortar containing fiber, glue, and etc to hold onto the surface. Finished better than I expected. The largest hole, I put almost 50%of pebble into the remained pre-mixed mortar so that contents will matched with the concrete of the wall.

After filling and repairing, piled dirt inside the wall spread to level. One of the hardest job but no brain needed. But became sick of summer heat. Only the largest square has finished 10 more square to go. Dear me!
